About Charles A. Platt
Charles A. Platt is an architect and painter.
A partner at Platt Byard Dovell White Architects, LLP. Platt began practicing in 1962, forming Smotrich & Platt, Architects in 1965. Throughout his career, Platt has been active in public affairs related to architecture and to preservation. His firm has received many design awards and his work has been published around the world.
A graduate of Harvard College and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard, he studied painting briefly at the Art Students League of New York and the Boston Museum School. Platt has had three solo exhibitions of his collages.
